Right outside our backdoor we have the Flathead National Forest with trails for cross-country skiing and snowshoeing. There are plenty of lakes and rivers where ice fishing can take place, and snowmobiling opportunities are in abundant supply.
The ski resorts of Whitefish and Blacktail are a short drive from the lodge for skiers and boarders. The season typically begins in early December and runs through to April.
The mountains are particularly spectacular in their winter coats and Glacier National Park is open year round to hikers. There are plenty of pristine photo opportunities.
The Historic Tamarack Lodge and Cabins offers you cosy warmth and hospitality, with an open fire burning in the lodge and fully insulated and heated accommodations.
